Middle of July and it has been pretty hot here in Colorado. Thankfully, the weather has chilled out a bit and so most of the wildfires running across the state have been contained. I don't want to take up too much of your time and plus, there isn't too much to update everyone on!Databases.... Yikes!!!!
Kate has another week left of work with a car show this weekend. I've requested time off for when the Baby does come, thankfully the company is being flexible with it. Babies have a tendency to come whenever it pleases them, but the more I think about it the more I kinda like that. We get so wrapped up in our schedules sometimes that we can miss all the things God is doing that isn't written on our calendar.
Kate and I are working on a new project for the future of Fishermissions. We are in the process of creating a database for all of our contacts and supporters. With it, we hope to add another layer of accountability in our relationship with all of you. I never knew it before, but databases can be a very, very powerful tool. The only downside is that database design is an extensive topic (I'm currently 27 pages through a 189 page tutorial on the subject), but we'll be hard at work on it!
Hope that was short enough! Does anybody have a preference to the length/frequency at which we update? Lengthier monthly updates? Shorter weekly updates? Both or somewhere in between?
