It is official! We finally convinced Isaac that walking is the way to go.
He has started in spectacular fashion and we are convinced that nothing can stop him now!
After a very long 5 month long wait, the trailer from Pennsylvania is finally safely on our campus! The port delivered the shipping container on Friday. The parking of the trailer was quite quick and only took about 10 minutes. (Somehow in my brain these sorts of things should take quite a bit longer, especially considering how long we've waited for it to arrive already.) The only hiccups we had in the delivery were that a short rainstorm decided to start when the trailer arrived at our gates and that some large decorative boulders by our gate were in the truck's turn.
Luckily for us, we live in Haiti so a little rain doesn't bother us. The rocks took some convincing to move. And by convincing I mean they were pushed with extreme prejudice with our John Deere tractor loader. (I might have gotten away with using smaller equipment, but there's just something about bringing out your inner child with large earth-moving equipment.)
Unfortunately, we don't get to open the trailer yet. It's a bummer for sure, but all the bosses are currently in Pennsylvania for the annual YWAM Haiti banquet. They are set to start returning on Friday and if they have mercy on Kate will allow us to open the trailer then.
